Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, weekdays only (no weekends, no call)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Perform specimen collection and receipt for testing.
Conduct chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, and other medical laboratory tests.
Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment to analyze specimens.
Must have experience with microbiology and Meditech systems.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Current Medical Technician or Medical Technologist certification by ASCP or AMT.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician, including experience within the last year.
Experience in supervisory roles.
Proficiency with MEDITECH laboratory information system.
