Location

• Kansas City, Missouri

Contract

• Travel assignment
• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week

Unit Overview

• Burn ICU with 6 beds
• Adult patients only
• Mixed-acuity ICU/PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg environment
• Patients remain on the unit from admission through discharge

Schedule

• 3 weekend shifts in each 4-week scheduling period

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC
• Burn ICU experience
• Hemodynamic monitoring proficiency
• Hemodynamic drip titration proficiency
• Cardiac rhythm identification proficiency
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) training

Preferred Qualifications

• Burn experience
• ABLS
• CRRT training
• Hemodynamic monitoring experience
• Hemodynamic drip titration proficiency
• Cardiac rhythm proficiency

Clinical Environment

• Float to ICU, PCU, or CCU as needed
• Level 1 trauma facility
• Trauma, stroke, and cardiac verified facility

Unit Procedures

• Debridement
• Dressing changes
• Line insertion
• Chest tube insertion and maintenance
• Post-operative procedural care

Additional Notes

• Bedside shift report is required
• Navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black scrub pants
• Scrub jacket allowed
• No T-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts allowed
