Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Role Overview

• Temp Respiratory Therapist role in Windsor, Vermont.
• Day shift, 12 hours per day.
• 13-week contract.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Vermont.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• NBRC.
• Driver's License.
• Experience with Cerner.

Preferred

• At least 6 months previous travel experience.
• PFTs.
• Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab.

Clinical Setting

• Patient population: Pediatric to Geriatric.
• Trauma level: Critical Access Hospital.
• Unit/facility includes a 35-bed critical access community hospital, 25 inpatient medical-surgical beds, and a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Scheduling and Attendance

• Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
• Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed.
• Scheduling requests after upload, at interview, or after offer will not be approved.
• After 3 call offs, the contract may be terminated at the facility’s discretion.
• Each call off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.

Additional Details

• Ability to work independently with invasive/non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and assist with intubations.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
• Dress code: Business casual or personal scrubs of any color.
