Registered Nurse Case Manager

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Randallstown, Maryland
• Day shift: 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 8:30a–5p
• 40 hours per week
• Coverage focuses on the Emergency Department and medical inpatient units
• Assignment may vary based on staffing needs and may include more than one inpatient unit
• Supports adult and geriatric patients
• Works in partnership with Social Work to coordinate discharge planning and patient transitions
• Average daily census is approximately 40 patients
• Typical assignment is one 20-bed unit in partnership with a Social Worker
• During crisis staffing, may support approximately 1.5–2 units in partnership with Case Management and Social Work

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Case Management experience within the last year
• 2 years of Case Management experience
• Experience in a hospital or inpatient setting
• Experience with discharge planning
• Med Surg experience
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Scheduling and Time Off

• May be scheduled up to every other weekend based on staffing needs
• One holiday per year is required
• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract
• The system will auto-approve 14 days or less of RTO
• Every other winter and summer holiday are required, with no RTO approved
• No RTO on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day
• Block scheduling is not accommodated

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted if they have the required inpatient Case Management experience
• Candidate must be able to work independently after approximately 3 days of orientation
• Candidate must be able to hit the ground running with limited orientation
• On-call is not required
• Local candidates are accepted
