Job Overview

Travel/contract registered nurse role in Crescent City, California
13-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
36 hours per week
Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

7-year background check within 6 months of start
Sex offender search within 90 days of start
FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start, then monthly
EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
HHS/OIG screening
California Medi-Cal search if FACIS Level 3 cannot be run monthly
Education verification of highest level achieved
State license verification within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, then annually
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit test within 1 year of start, then annually
Respiratory safety clearance
Drug screen within 6 months of start
Color vision exam if applicable
Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps
Unit-specific skills checklist
Professional references
Signed job description, standards of business conduct, general regulatory orientation, conditional offer attestation, vendor training, code of conduct, and overpayment refund policy
Epic questionnaire for RNs
Flu vaccination documentation during flu season
Tdap documentation
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunization documentation or acceptable alternatives

Notes

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
TNCC is valid for 4 years
