ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract position in Newark, New Jersey
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1.5 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 1.5 or more years of acute care experience related to the position
  • Stepdown experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Swan Ganz catheters
  • Exposure to IABP, Impella, and VAD devices
  • Previous CTICU or medical cardiology experience

Unit / Assignment Details

  • ICU, CCU, CTICU, and stepdown coverage as needed
  • May float to holding areas for admitted ICU patients
  • Typical patient ratio is 1:1-3 for critical care and 1:4 when floated to stepdown

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Navy blue scrubs required
