Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

• Location: Harvey, Illinois
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Floating: Required
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• First-time travelers: Accepted
• Local candidates: Accepted
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated
• RTO limit: 7 days max

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Orientation modules must be completed before clearance/start
• Photo for badge
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit mask within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 2 business days of signing contract
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 2 business days of signing contract
• Measles immunity or vaccination series
• Mumps immunity or vaccination series
• Rubella immunity or vaccination series
• Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or declination
• Varicella immunity, vaccination series, or declination
• Drug test within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination/documentation for the 2025–26 season, or approved exemption
• COVID and flu exemption forms are required if requesting an exemption
