Registered Nurse – PICU
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Richmond, Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Rotating schedule between day and night shifts; shifts do not rotate within the same week
- Local candidates are allowed at the same rate
- Must work at least 2 holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
Additional Requirements
- 2 references
- Resume/application required
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check required
- Drug screen required within 60 days of start
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- TB screening or chest X-ray required
- Tdap vaccination or declination required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for applicable start dates
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers required
- Hepatitis B documentation required
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Annual skills checklist required
- Color blindness testing required
- Abuse reporting competency required
- HIPAA acknowledgement required
- Orientation modules must be completed by the Friday of orientation week
- Orientation includes unit-specific testing and competency checks
