SICU Travel Nurse

Location

  • New Orleans, Louisiana

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 3x12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Assignment Details

  • High-acuity ICU
  • Patient ratio: 1:2
  • Float to other ICUs and SDUs
  • Manager may accommodate 4x12s
  • No block scheduling requests

Clinical Experience

  • Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy
  • Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
  • SICU skills include general post-op care for surgical recovery patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Louisiana
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PA catheter experience
  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience
  • Post-operative CABG care experience
  • Valve replacement/repair care experience
  • Aortic dissection care experience
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience
  • Transplant experience
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Skills

  • PA catheter experience
  • Balloon pump experience
