Overview
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Evening, 3x12 hours, 1:00 PM–1:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- Setting: Emergency Department
- Patient mix: Primarily admitted patients; many ED rooms are used for holding
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Trauma experience
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel experience strongly preferred
- Level I trauma experience preferred
Schedule and Assignment Expectations
- Must work 2 of the 3 holiday bundles
- Weekend shifts scheduled as needed
- Floating may include Peds ED, Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma as needed
- No block scheduling
- No locals within 100 miles
Compliance and Onboarding
- Cerner training attestation may be required for RNs starting with the 8/4/25 orientation group
- Pass/fail EKG testing is required for this role
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask clearance within 1 year of start
- Negative TB screening within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Flu vaccination or approved documentation required before start
- COVID vaccination is not required
Additional Notes
- Christmas RTO is not allowed
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
- OT applies after 48 hours on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
