Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Additional Hours: One Saturday shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) during the 13-week period
- Weekend Call: Assigned 1-2 times per 13-week assignment (Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM)
- Backup Coverage: May be assigned backup duty once a week due to procedural nature of work
- Caseload: 6-8 procedures per day per technologist
- Rooms: 9 procedure rooms
- Floating: Floating within facility and scope of care is required; no floating to sister facilities
- Local Radius Rule: Candidates must be outside a 75-mile radius (locals not accepted)
- Pending State License: Accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days off
Job Description
Perform interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to:
- Central venous catheter placements/replacements
- Diagnostic angiograms
- Y-90 mappings/treatments
- Gastrostomy tubes
- Percutaneous nephrostomy tubes
- Peripheral artery disease leg cases
- Other vascular-related procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest relevant degree required before start
- Professional license primary source verification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel
- Fit mask testing required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Facility-specific documents including:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire
- Confidentiality Form
- Regulatory Compliance Education (annual quiz with 80% passing score)
- Hand Hygiene and Fingernail Policies acknowledgment
- Dress Code Policy acknowledgment
- Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Employment application and professional references required (two professional references preferred, supervisors within last year preferred)
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually

- Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
- Parking: $67/month for rotating and day shifts; free for night shifts
