RN - PCU

Overview

Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.
13-week contract.
36 hours per week.
Unit: D2, a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit on the 2nd floor of the Mission Main campus/D corridor.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry competency

Preferred Qualifications

Recent progressive care experience

Unit Details

Mixed medical surgical and/or step-down patients
Short stay patients under 24 hours LOS are targeted to this unit
Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6, depending on level of care
Telemetry monitoring is used when indicated, with patients hardwired to bedside monitors

Schedule

Every other weekend required
No call required

Floating

Travelers will be required to float to other units if needed

Work Environment

Day shift staffing: 1 charge, 4 RN, 2 CNA
Night shift staffing: 1 charge, 4 RN, 2 CNA
