RN - Tele (Telemetry)

Location: Tallahassee, Florida Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 48 (48-hour option available)

Unit Details

Unit: Medical Oncology 606
Building: Main
Beds: 33
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Scheduling: 36 hours and every other weekend as needed
Floating Policy: Travelers are first to float
Staffing: Unit secretary on unit 7 AM to 11 PM; 3 CNAs for 33 patients; charge RN each shift; clinical manager and director
Equipment: Electronic whiteboards, iPhones with iMobile, remote telemetry
Patient Experience: Hourly rounds on day shift; 2-hour rounds after 9 PM
Procedures on Unit: Inpatient chemotherapy, given by core nursing staff with ONS chemo training
Dress Code: Pewter scrubs and white, any combination
Recognition: Unit of Distinction in Medical Surgical Nursing (2018)
Innovation: Designated Hospital of the Future with frequent pilots of new technology and supplies

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
