Work Schedule

• Full-time
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Job Summary

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulations according to radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions.
• Assist in treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry.
• Monitor treatment delivery and withhold treatment if necessary until oncologist consultation.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Perform weekly chart checks on alternating machines with a partner.
• Provide patient care including explaining procedures and assessing special needs.
• Prepare rooms and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Document treatments accurately and report any equipment or treatment issues promptly.

Patient Population

• Outpatient and occasional inpatient radiation therapy patients.
• Approximately 15-20 patients per machine daily.
• 2-3 simulation procedures per day.

Equipment and Software Experience (Highly Preferred)

• TRUEBEAM/VARIAN
• ARIA
• VISION RT
• EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Texas.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT (T)).
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
