Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 14 weeks
• Staffing ratio: 1:2
• Float: yes
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NURSYS verification
• 2 clinical references
• Verification of most recent employer
• Skills checklist within 12 months
• Photo ID
• Background check completed before start
• Education verification of related degree
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination
• Color blind testing
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam

Unit / Clinical Details

• Patient population includes ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, seizure disorders, craniotomies, complex spinal surgeries, aneurysm coilings/clippings, and thrombectomies
• Unit supports intracranial pressure monitoring, continuous sedation, continuous vasopressors or vasodilators, external ventricular drains, ventilators, cerebral oximetry monitoring, CT scanner access, and EEG techs stationed on unit

Scheduling / Attendance

• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• Major holidays may be required depending on assignment dates
• Core staff are placed on call first; agency staff may be called

Additional Notes

• Full compliance is required to start on time
• EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR are used on the unit
