Job Overview

• Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Local radius restriction: Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from Saratoga Springs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience managing IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions
• Familiarity with stroke care and management
• Ability to read cardiac rhythms and pass hospital proctored rhythm identification test with >80% accuracy and 100% accuracy on critical rhythms
• Critical drip experience
• CVA experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• Critical drip experience
• CVA experience
• Experience managing IV cardiac medications
• Experience with continuous infusions
• Familiarity with stroke care and management

Work Setting

• Telemetry
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5

Housing

• Housing resources may be available
• Housing is expensive in the fall in Saratoga; travelers should review housing before signing

Additional Notes

• Candidates from certain nearby counties are not eligible for new contracts
• Child abuse mandatory reporter training may be required based on nursing education history
