Overview

• Travel/contract role in Lafayette, Indiana
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted
• Travel pairs not accepted
• Floating within scope may be required
• On-call not required
• Weekend work required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1.5 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Vents experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Conscious sedation preferred

Unit / Role Notes

• Cardiac and medical PCU / true ICU stepdown
• Handles heart caths and PCU crisis criteria

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB screening within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• TB questionnaire required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit testing within 12 months of start
• Color vision testing required
• Minimum of 2 recent employment references required
• Employment application must be current and explain gaps of 30 days or more
• Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
• Background check and license verification required before start
• Orientation and facility-specific onboarding documents required
