Location
- Charleston, West Virginia
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Day shift)
- Specific hours: Friday 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- No call or floating requirements
- Blocked schedule
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Department & Facility
- Fast-paced CT department in a Level I trauma center and Stroke Center
- Equipped with 2 GE 128 slice CT scanners
- Daily caseload varies per tech
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in West Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT Registered Technologist (ARRT R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with GE Healthcare CT scanners
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid West Virginia state license required to start (pending state license accepted)
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only, no pending certs allowed)
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Social Security Card (legible)
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (includes multiple substances, no placeholders allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming good health and no physical limitations
- Annual fit mask testing (N95 3M models accepted) or PAPR accommodation if needed
- Negative TB test within 3 months of start or negative chest X-ray if positive TB history
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory; proof of vaccination or signed declination accepted
- One professional reference required from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse within the last year
Orientation & Training
- Two-day orientation (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management training
- Completion of required inservice training modules prior to start (approx. 4 hours)
- Pass/fail testing modules required for certain specialties (not applicable here)
- Annual skills checklist for CT specialty required
