Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- Alternative schedule considered: Four 9-hour days per week (36 hours), no 3-12 hour shifts
- Call: Required 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology with focus on Interventional Radiology
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty; Cardiac Cath experience preferred
- Familiarity with Electrophysiology, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology procedures is beneficial
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- CCI RCES (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- CCI RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Required Licenses and Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) or CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
- CCI Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within one year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within one year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titers for measles, mumps, rubella)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation)
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Annual fit mask testing required for patient-facing roles (including Interventional Radiology Techs) starting 7/13/2026 and beyond
Competency and Training Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams required prior to start
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 1 year of start (with remediation process if failed)
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Background check results and fingerprinting must be approved before start; pending results require attestation
- Candidates must review and sign dress code and hand hygiene policies
- Fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged annually
- Confidential reporting mechanism form must be completed prior to start
