Geropsychiatric unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Hampshire
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
CPI
Psychiatric (3 years of experience)
Psychiatric experience within the last year

Experience

1 year of previous nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and condition changes
Perform mental and physical assessments
Administer medications and treatments
Assist patients with daily activities and observe reactions
Manage therapeutic milieu activities, including groups and 1:1 patient interactions
Complete individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team
Coordinate nursing care and conduct therapies based on patient diagnosis and needs
Carry out physician-ordered interventions
Collaborate with physicians, team members, and outside health and social agencies
Provide discharge planning and obtain admission histories
Complete required documentation, including admission paperwork, assessments, progress notes, evaluations, discharge paperwork, and CQI+ data

Additional Details

Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
