36 hours per week
Three 12-hour shifts per week
Must be flexible to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
On-call may be required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alaska
Long Term Acute Care experience within the last year
1 year of Long Term Acute Care experience
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Long Term Care experience

Preferred Experience

Geriatric and dementia care experience

Role Overview

Provides direct nursing care in long-term care settings for patients across the lifespan
Performs assessments, develops and updates care plans, administers medications and treatments, and responds to changes in patient condition
Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams
Documents care in the electronic health record
May float to other departments or assignments as needed

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling

Additional Notes

Housing and transportation are not provided; assistance is handled by the agency
Traveler applicants must live at least 100+ miles from the facility address
Must be competent in the use of all equipment in the specialty
