Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Hilo, Hawaii

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Variable day and night shifts
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month
No guarantee of hours or shift preference

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Nursery experience
Post Partum experience

Job Duties

Care for laboring patients
Assist with delivery
Provide immediate newborn care
Provide post-delivery care for mother

Unit Details

Labor and delivery unit with 8 labor beds
Postpartum unit with 18 beds

Equipment / Systems

Meditech
GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system

Start Requirement

Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of the offer
Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
