Registered Nurse (MedSurg 5S) - Savannah, Georgia

Assignment Details

Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Assignment Length: Approximately 13–14 weeks
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per nurse
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 12 weeks (weekends are Saturday and Sunday; shifts may not be consecutive)
Patient Population: MedSurg patients including those with sickle cell, heart failure, vascular, pulmonary, diabetes, failure to thrive, and other MedSurg conditions
Unit Support: Charge nurse assigned; nursing aides available with 12:1 to 1:1 ratios; respiratory therapy equipment includes nasal cannula, face masks, BiPAP

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg nursing experience (manager considers MedSurg experience only)
Active Georgia RN license or compact license at time of submission
Current AHA BLS certification
Prior travel experience is strongly preferred
Must comply with a strict 100-mile radius rule (local candidates outside this radius are not accepted)
Submission must include a current NURSYS report showing no license issues

Submission Requirements

Full availability including all requested time off (RTO)
Start date aligned with compliance timelines
Current references within MedSurg specialty
Resume must include:
- Number of beds and trauma level for all facilities worked in the past 3 years
- Employment type (permanent/staff, travel, or PRN)
- Number of shifts worked per month if PRN
- MedSurg skills checklist only

Onboarding & Orientation

Orientation starts weekly on Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)
Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days prior to start date
Quick start requests require prior approval from the onboarding team

Additional Notes

Manager does not guarantee blocked scheduling
Interview process involves manager review and phone interviews; expect calls from a 912 area code
Allow 48 hours before requesting interview follow-up; recruiter will notify when offers are extended
