Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Weekend coverage: Every other weekend (may change based on need)
Floating to other units may be required

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Current BLS certification issued by AHA or ARC
Current PALS certification issued by AHA or ARC
Current NRP certification
Current TNCC certification
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification
Experience with EPIC documentation system

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) - one required, cannot expire within 30 days of start
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required; if not currently certified, must obtain after 365 consecutive days working with the facility
Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., NRP, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification, EFM) — check unit specifics

Required Licenses

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for South Carolina
Primary source verification required; license must be current and not expire within 30 days of start

Systems and Technology

EPIC documentation system experience required (minimum 1 year)

Compliance and Background Requirements

Driver’s license required immediately upon signing for computer access and must be carried on duty
E-Verify or attestation required
7-year background check within 12 months of start, including alias and multi-state/county searches
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
Education verification of highest level completed required
Drug screening within 1 year of start and updated annually (5-panel minimum)
Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
Immunizations and health documents required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (if working in high-risk areas)
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required annually (not required for remote workers)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required; second vaccine can be pending if collected within 28 days of first
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination required
Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation

Orientation and Training

Online modules (~12 hours) must be completed within 72 hours of assignment; required before start
16 hours of non-billable orientation onsite
Pass/fail medication and arrhythmia testing required prior to orientation (two attempts allowed, 84% passing score)
Annual competency exams and core training (Parts I, II, III) required with minimum 80% passing score

Additional Requirements

Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background, no hats or sunglasses)
Floating policy acknowledgment required annually
Performance evaluations and internal evaluations required if working with the agency over 1 year
Resume/application must include a 7-year work history
