Job Overview

• Location: Clinton, South Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, may change based on need
• Floating: Required to other units or facilities as needed

Unit / Patient Population

• Adult inpatients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, coronary artery disease
• May care for patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation

Unit Procedures / Skills

• Vasoactive drug administration
• Antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Thrombolytic therapy
• Defibrillation/cardioversion
• Thoracentesis
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• EKG
• Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• 2 years of experience in Cardiac Tele
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic
