Labor and Delivery Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Pueblo, Colorado
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:15 AM–6:45 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
• Weekend and on-call coverage required per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN Intermediate
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OB triage experience
• Experience managing laboring and high-risk OB patients
• Ability to circulate in the OR
• Ability to place internal monitors

Unit Details

• Labor and Delivery unit
• Fast-paced setting with about 150 births per month
• Responsibilities include circulating in the OR, placing internal monitors, OB triage, and managing laboring and high-risk OB patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2

• RTO limit: 10 days maximum
• RTO not allowed during:

  • June 28–July 9, 2026
  • September 2–September 12, 2026
  • October 25–November 4, 2026
• Navy scrubs
• Epic charting
• Local rate applies within 75 miles of the facility
