Rural LDRP setting
Unit provides labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn services, including newborn stabilization for transport
Approximately 225 births annually

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Fetal monitoring
7-year background check required within 6 months of start
Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
FACIS Level 3 search within 2 weeks of start, then monthly
California - Medi-Cal Search Result if FACIS III cannot be run monthly
EPLS/GSA/SAM required annually
HHS/OIG required annually
State license verification within 30 days of start
NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
Unit-specific skills checklist
Full 7 years of work history in the application, with city and state for each location and no gaps
Employment history verification for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start
Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
Flu documentation during flu season
Color vision exam by a licensed healthcare provider before start
Review and sign required pre-start documents and policies
