Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts) with possible Saturdays as needed
Job Description
- Perform Interventional Radiology (IR), Musculoskeletal (MSK), and Interventional (IN) cases
- Flexible shifts within the stated schedule
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certification
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
- ARRT certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
Health & Safety Requirements
- N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required
- Documentation of MMR immunity (two doses of measles, mumps, rubella vaccines or proof of immunity via blood test)
- TB screening: Negative TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Physician Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
- If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months (includes international residence/travel history for last 7 years)
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- Social Security Number trace for last 7 years addresses/employment/schooling
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Education verification of highest level achieved (not required for CNA)
Documentation & Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, at least one supervisor or above in relevant skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet (current version) required for initial assignment and new facility submissions
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required for all initial assignments and extensions
- Name change documentation if legal name differs from credential documentation
Additional Notes
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing
- Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start
- Updates to fit testing can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended
- Compliance and background check results with any concerns will be vetted for final decision
