Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General

Location

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 14 weeks

Schedule

  • Evenings, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (3:00 PM - 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday)
  • Rotating weekend on-call approximately every 5th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Initial orientation on day shifts before switching to evening schedule
  • Solo work hours from 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM after orientation

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Recent Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARDMS certification

On-Call Requirement

  • Yes, rotating weekend call approximately every 5th weekend

Additional Requirements

  • Background check: 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start, including nationwide and state-specific searches
  • Color blind testing required
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required prior to start (pass score 80%, max 2 attempts)
  • Photo for badge (professional quality, waist up, clear lighting, no hats)
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start (not required by facility but required by agency)
  • Mask fit test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required; onsite fit testing available)
  • Various health immunizations and titers required or declination forms accepted:
    • Tdap (within 10 years)
    • TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD within 90 days)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
    • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
    • COVID vaccination or declination (for tracking purposes)
  • Drug screening within past 12 months (agency requirement, not facility)
  • Two professional references required
