Overview

Travel/Contract role in Bel Air, Maryland
Start date: 11/9/26
Contract length: 20 weeks
Night shift: 4x12, 19:00-07:00; 3x12 is optional
Every 3rd weekend
No on-call
Floating required within specialty/acuity
First-time travelers accepted
Backfill opening

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

ICU
Patient diagnoses include: ICU, Stroke, Renal Failure CRRT, MI-IABP, Resp failure, pneumonia, Rotoprone, post cardiac arrest, DKA, surgical ICU
Special equipment includes ceiling lifts and emergency carts for central line, universal critical airway, chest tube, temp pacer, bronch, chemo, CRRT, and Malignant Hyperthermia

Pros

IMC Ratio 1:3, traveler friendly (many have renewed for at least a year), decent crew of staff

Cons

Unit is disorganized; you spend much of the day walking back and forth for simple supplies that should be more conveniently located. Huddle time is way too long and frequently leaves you getting out super late by the time report is over. Also the patient population in that area is a little trashy.
