Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in District of Columbia
  • ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Physical exam
  • Fit testing within 1 year of start and annual updates
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, with annual update
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
  • Hepatitis B documentation or declination form
  • Drug screen within the last 12 months
  • COVID vaccination prior to start
  • Flu vaccination during flu season, unless an approved exemption is completed on the facility-specific form

Notes

  • Certification cards must be valid at start and not expire within 30 days of start
  • The role requires completion of facility-specific onboarding documents before start
