Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Salem, Oregon
Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
48 hours per week
Ratios: 1:3–4
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Locals accepted
Pending Oregon license accepted
First-time travelers not accepted
Block scheduling not accommodated
RTO over 2 weeks requires approval

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oregon
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Telemetry experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

PCU and neuro stepdown experience
NIHHS certification

Unit Details

30-bed neurotrauma care unit (NTCU)
Located on the seventh floor of Building A
Serves patients with brain or nervous system disorders including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, meningitis, encephalitis, strokes, and spinal injuries
Staff are trained in NIHSS, swallow screen, and spine immobilization
