Interventional Radiology RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Deerfield Beach, Florida
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM
• On-call required: 2 days per week and every 4th weekend
• Hurricane sign-up required, but not guaranteed
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Interventional Radiology (2 years of experience)
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Critical Care experience
• Experience with Neuro embolizations
• Experience with cerebral thrombectomies
• Experience with Neuro Vascular procedures
• Experience with Paracentesis
• Experience with Thoracentesis
• Biopsy Procedure Support experience
• Experience with Peripheral Vascular Procedures
• Administering and Monitoring Procedure Sedation
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation and Management
• Experience with Epic

Key Skills

• Procedural sedation monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Radiation and laser safety
• Sheath removal and closure device monitoring
• Pressure ulcer prevention

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening with fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and disqualifying offense screening
• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify documentation
• Proof of name change, if applicable
• Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years
• Education verification
• Physical exam confirming ability to perform the role without restrictions and freedom from communicable diseases
• Annual fit test
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test or chest X-ray, as applicable
• TB questionnaire
• MMR, hepatitis B, varicella, and flu documentation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen
• 2 professional references
• Annual skills checklist

Orientation and Training

• Online orientation and required modules must be completed before start
• Nursing-specific training modules are required, including procedural sedation and stroke/core measures content
