NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a Level III NICU caring for preterm patients as early as 22-23 weeks gestation.
• Manage respiratory support including HFNC, BCPAP, Drager Ventilation, HFOV, Jet Ventilators.
• Provide Total Body Cooling in unit.
• Participate in deliveries for preterm or high-risk infants.
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients.
• Floating assignments to Pediatrics and Mother/Baby units, as well as to a nearby NICU.
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend.
• No on-call requirement.
• Guaranteed hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 3 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Additional Information

• Floating may include Pediatrics and Mother/Baby units.
• Pending license acceptance is not allowed.
• Return staff must disclose previous work locations and dates if applicable.
• Documentation such as I9, driver's license/state ID, and E-Verify must be maintained by staffing agency.
• Charting system used: Epic.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• Facility type: Acute Care, Teaching Hospital with 244 staffed beds.

Compliance and Training

• Completion of facility-specific modules and confidentiality agreement required prior to start.
• Annual formalin education and other facility-required training modules must be completed.
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season (September – April 1). Exemptions require mask-wearing.
