Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring at least 3 years of NICU experience and NRP certification.

Details

• Level III NICU in an acute care teaching hospital with 244 staffed beds
• Cares for preterm neonates as young as 22-23 weeks gestation, with transfers to a Level IV facility reserved for surgical, ECMO, or specialty service needs
• Manages respiratory support including HFNC, BCPAP, Drager Ventilation, HFOV, and Jet Ventilators; provides Total Body Cooling in unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating required to Pediatrics and Mother/Baby units, as well as to an off-site NICU location
• Charting via Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licensure not accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• NICU nurses are expected to attend deliveries for preterm or high-risk patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of the health system must wait at least 6 months before being considered; candidates who have previously worked at any Main Line Health location should disclose the location(s) and dates of employment
• RTO requests are subject to manager discretion
