Mammography Tech

Overview

• Location: Maryville, Illinois
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Caseload: 30–40 patients per day
• First-time travelers accepted: No
• Floating: Not required
• On-call: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Illinois
• Mammography Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• ARRT (Mammography)

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Breast Ultrasound or Registered Breast Sonographer
• DEXA experience

Key Job Duties

• Perform outpatient screening and diagnostic mammography exams
• Perform bone density studies
• Perform stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Perform magseed and wire localization procedures
• Handle post-clip placements

Schedule Details

• Monday and Friday: 08:00–16:30
• Tuesday through Thursday: 09:00–17:30
• Rotating Saturdays, typically every 6th

Additional Notes

• Comfortable with post-clip exams is expected
• Tech will not be required to learn biopsies or localization exams
• Meditech experience is highly preferred
• Finalized time off requests must be included with submission
• No time off within the first week of start
• No more than 10 days of time off per assignment
