Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required
• Patient Ratio: Able to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio on MedSurg
• Unit Description: Acute Stroke Unit (39 beds) specializing in acute stroke and neurological disorders, with an adjustable acuity care model for stroke prevention and acute care phases
• Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital with 528 staffed beds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
