• Unit: Cardiopulmonary
• Floor: 4th
• Patient Ratio: 7:1
• Staff on Day Shift: 8-9
• Equipment Used: Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide, Pneuton, Oscillator A
• Floating Areas: Adult ICU, Floors, Level 2 NICU, Level 3 NICU, Level 4 NICU, PICU, Pediatric

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Pediatric patient care experience
• Delivery experience
• Certifications: NBRC, NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS
• Acknowledgement of HCA employee health and safety policies, completion of the Respiratory Therapist competency exam, education on hazardous drug risks, and completion of mandatory online training modules covering compliance, conduct, system operations, and role-specific skills, as well as understanding of the Respiratory Therapist job description

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification preferred
• Adult respiratory experience is a plus

Typical Procedures

• Intubations
• Surfactant administration
• Delivery support

Schedule and Work Environment

• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Time and attendance strictly enforced; must be clocked in and ready for report by 6:37 AM / 6:37 PM
• Dress Code: Gray monogrammed scrubs
