Unit Information
- Unit: 3 East, 3rd Floor
- Number of Beds: 28
- Staff: 32 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
- Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
- Equipment: Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Job Description
- No routine procedures performed on unit
- Typical patient care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs (logo specifics omitted)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Healthcare setting de-escalation skills (HHCCA)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience with epilepsy care is a plus
- Open to feedback and demonstrates an owner mentality
