<h2>Registered Nurse – Labor &amp; Delivery (RN - L&amp;D)</h2>📍 Location: Newark, DE 🌙 Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) ⏱ 36 Hours per Week 📅 Contract Length: 13 Weeks 🏥 Unit: Labor &amp; Delivery (21–30 Beds)<h3>Assignment Highlights</h3><ul>	<li>Labor &amp; Delivery unit with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3, depending on patient acuity.</li>	<li>Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic).</li>	<li>Hospital-provided Ceil Blue scrubs.</li>	<li>Every other weekend and holiday rotation.</li>	<li>No on-call requirement.</li>	<li>Float to Antenatal, High Risk OB, OB Triage, and Postpartum units as needed.</li>	<li>Voice Advantage interview followed by Nurse Manager review.</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul>	<li>Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.</li>	<li>Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous fetal heart monitoring and promptly recognize changes requiring intervention.</li>	<li>Assist with labor inductions, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetrical procedures.</li>	<li>Safely administer and titrate high-alert medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips while monitoring patient response.</li>	<li>Manage epidural care and monitor mothers for complications during labor and delivery.</li>	<li>Care for patients experiencing high-risk pregnancies, fetal demise, intrauterine fetal death (IUFD), and other obstetrical emergencies.</li>	<li>Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, surgical teams, and postpartum staff to deliver exceptional maternal and newborn care.</li>	<li>Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.</li>	<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner EMR while adhering to hospital quality and patient safety standards.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul>	<li>Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License.</li>	<li>Minimum 2 years of recent Labor &amp; Delivery experience (no exceptions).</li>	<li>Current certifications with expiration dates available at submission.</li>	<li>Maximum 3 days of RTO submitted with the initial application.</li>	<li>Ability to float within Women's Services based on patient acuity.</li></ul> #TB_RN
