Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Position Summary
- Function as both caregiver and care manager for a group of patients.
- Implement the Nursing Process to provide patient care.
- Delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient care outcomes.
- Make sound clinical decisions independently.
- May serve as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment delegation, coordinating admissions/discharges/transfers, and staff coverage.
Essential Functions
- Perform patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Implement care according to policies, procedures, and care plans.
- Identify and address patient and family learning needs.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic or paper records.
- Delegate patient care activities and supervise assigned coworkers.
- Organize and prioritize tasks using critical thinking.
- Adhere to safety protocols including infection control, equipment use, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) nursing experience.
- LDRP experience within the last year.
- Experience in Charge Nurse roles.
- Labor and Delivery experience.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks for 8-12 hours per shift.
- Physical strength to perform CPR and assist with lifting/pushing up to 300 lbs multiple times per shift.
- Visual acuity sufficient for patient assessment and documentation.
- Emotional stability to manage high-stress situations and maintain effective working relationships.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information
- Up to 24 hours of on-call availability per month may be required at no additional cost during the assignment.
