Cardiovascular Unit RN

Overview

• Contract role in Chico, California
• 13-week assignment
• 12-hour day shift, 0700 start
• 36 hours per week
• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU)
• Patient ratio does not exceed 1:4
• Unit provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care for medium to high acuity patients
• Patient population includes young adult through geriatric patients
• Examples of cases include cardiac diagnoses, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI), post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• ACLS
• Experience with Epic
• Experience in a Critical Care setting
• CVU - Cardiovascular Unit experience
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• One completed travel assignment

Float Scope

• May float to other units including Med/Surg
• Med/Surg and Critical Care RN positions are required to float as needed
