10 EAST (Neuro Stepdown & EMU - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)
31 total beds: 25 Stepdown, 6 EMU
Nurse:patient ratio: 1:3 for Stepdown; 1:5-6 for Floor (EMU)

Required Qualifications

RN license
BLS
NIHSS
Strong Neuro experience
NIHSS in hand at time of submit
History of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH
EPIC experience
COVID vaccination required

Preferred

ACLS
EVD experience

Schedule

Nights, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
Holidays required
Call/standby requirement: unknown

Float scope

May float to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W

Additional notes

Charge nurse available 24/7
Tele is on the unit, but RNs do not have to read strips
RT is available 24/7
RN vent experience is not required
Scrub color: Royal Blue
Unit orientation: 2 shifts on the unit
