Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

• Department: Telemetry
• Number of Openings: 2
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly adult
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest Pain, A-fib, CHF, Pre & Post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial), VATS
• Equipment Used: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
• EHR Systems: Cerner (preferred), Meditech experience required
• Shift: Primarily day and afternoon shifts
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• Unit Culture: Family-oriented

Requirements

• Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry RN
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ years in specialty
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo equipment
  • Cerner experience is preferred and must have Meditech experience
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed
