Role Overview

Travel RN position in Alexandria, Louisiana
Full-time
7AM–7PM shift
Start: ASAP
Temp-to-perm is a possibility

Unit / Patient Population

Cares for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow
Unit manages cardiac drips

Schedule

Every other weekend required
No call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of telemetry experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Work Environment

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
Dress code: ceil blue scrubs

Additional Notes

New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
New hires complete onboarding and competency validation with a preceptor
Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency or other orientation program
Annual competency verification is required
