Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 3 shifts per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Unit Overview

• Women’s Services unit
• 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite
• No techs or unit secretaries
• Regular staff may float within the facility as needed
• Some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS
• AWHONN
• NRP
• Fetal monitoring education
• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
• LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with shoulder dystocia
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage
• Experience with fetal monitoring
• Experience with inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil

Procedures Performed on the Unit

• C-sections
• Circumcisions
• Intra-uterine monitoring
• Vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries

Additional Details

• Pink and/or brown scrubs are required
• The unit has experienced RNs who can serve as resources and preceptors
• The team is described as supportive and willing to help
• The unit offers experience across labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
