Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients

Unit Details

• Emergency Department
• 101 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 4:1
• Up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• No floating outside the ED; must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Every other weekend required
• Cannot commit to block scheduling

Skills and Work Environment

• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED with more than 100,000 visits
• Teamwork-focused environment
• Ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Patient Care Expectations

• Use AIDET
• Maintain respectful behavior
• Update patient boards and keep patients informed throughout the visit

Additional Notes

• Navy scrubs required
• Cerner is used for documentation
• Previous HCA experience is preferred
