Telemetry RN Travel Assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Management of vasoactive drips

Unit Details

• 36-bed telemetry unit
• Typical RN staffing with no techs
• Patient ratios: 1:3 on days, 1:4 on nights; with patient care techs, 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights
• Floating to MedSurg units
• Rotating holiday schedule
• Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds are expected

Clinical Skills / Experience

• Advanced assessment and critical thinking
• Management of vasoactive drips
• Central line or PICC line placement

Schedule

• Every 3rd weekend rotation

Equipment / Documentation

• BiPAP
• Heated high-flow nasal cannulas
• Alaris IV pumps
• Kangaroo feeding pumps
• Meditech

Additional Notes

• Designated education unit
• New cardiac monitors allow visual monitoring of cardiac rhythm in each room
