Registered Nurse - IV Therapy (Outpatient Infusion)

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in an outpatient infusion center (not vascular access).
• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in an outpatient setting.
• Care for patients receiving various infusion therapies with patient ratios ranging from 1:7 to 1:9.
• Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, medication administration, and blood transfusions.
• Work with IV pumps and document care using Epic EMR.
• Serve an average daily census of 46 patients across 21 infusion chairs.
• Collaborate as a team member with a focus on quality, patient-centered care.
• Must be flexible, reliable, self-initiated, and able to adjust priorities throughout the day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of PICC experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in an outpatient setting.
• Infusion therapy experience.
• ONS or ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card (preferred but not required).

Unit Information

• Outpatient infusion therapy specialty.
• No float requirements.
• Dress code excludes hospital-issued scrubs; any other scrubs are acceptable.
• Professional attire required; hospital-issued scrubs and unprofessional attire are not allowed.

• This role does not involve vascular access procedures.
