Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Location: Florence, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guaranteed)

Unit and Patient Population

• Department: Labor and Delivery
• Floor: 3rd
• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Patient Population: Adult
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Normal Spontaneous Labor
  • Preterm Labor
  • Gestational Hypertension
  • Preeclampsia
  • Placenta Previa
  • Placental Abruption
  • Fetal Distress
  • Umbilical Cord Prolapse
  • Postpartum Hemorrhage

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Registered Nurse License (RN)
• ACLS or ALS-OB
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS or ALS-OB certification
• NRP certification
• EFM certification
• BLS certification

Additional Job Details

• Float Requirement: Postpartum unit
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: Centricity, Meditech
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue scrubs only; no non-compliant colors, slogans, graphics, or offensive content; appropriate footwear required
